Pr. Pierre Bouletreau has established his speciality in orthognathic and orbital surgery and is the national director of a European academic course regarding orthognathic surgery. He was a former professor and the head of the department of maxillofacial surgery at Centre Hospitalier Lyon-Sud.
As a highly regarded author and editor, he has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and textbook chapters and was also the reviewer for the “Journal of Stomatology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery” and the “JSM Oro Facial Surgeries”.
Throughout his years of service, Pr. Pierre has obtained several honors and recognitions that showcase his exceptional skills and expertise in his field. Some of them include:

- Winner of the LEIBINGER Award 1999.
- Winner of the LAVOISIER Award 1999 (French Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
